Finally able to login

After many useless updates, they seem to have fixed many issues. I was finally able to login and use Touch ID. The app doesnt have a ton of info, but it has the basics and access to a digital card. Still no Apple Wallet integration.

Wow! Terrible Security

Just created a new account online and was offered the mobile app. Downloaded the app, entered my credentials, then was asked to choose a phone number to which a verification code would be sent. But...neither number offered was my phone number!! Whose phone number got associated with my account?? Called the customer service number and got the run around. Was told that if the app didnt know my phone number it would randomly pick someone elses phone number! What?!? The rep verified my correct phone number was listed on the account. Only the mobile app was wrong so I "should feel ok about it." Sorry, this feels mighty sketchy to me. My concern is that even if I delete the app at least two other random people will be able to send verification numbers to there phones and be able to verify changes to my account. This is the worst security Ive encountered.

Difficult to login.

I had the app, l deleted because it was hard to login. Last month l login from the website. Now in July, lve tried several times without success.(l know my user name and password) and still doesnt recognize it. And yes l dont get the e-bill or notification, although lve set it up. It makes me suspicious that its done intentional to charge late fees and interest?

Unusable

I entered all of my info to register as a new user, including my phone number. The app wont let me log in because it needs to send a verification code to the phone number on file, but they have no phone number on file. I called the customer service line and basically was told "IT is working on the app, but for now theres nothing we can do." Why even have an app available to download if its not ready to be used? Ive had this issue for more than two months.

One-Time Passcode Problems

So I had just signed up for my account and went to get the mobile app so when Im not around my computer I can keep up to date on payments. I tried to log in and it asked me to select my phone number from the list of numbers but mine was not listed! Two numbers I had never even seen before were there so I deleted the app and reinstalled it to find my old cell phone number there which made absolutely no sense. I called customer service and she told me to just use a computer and not the app. The whole point in wanting the app is to make payments or check up on things on the go, I dont just want an app to have it. Totally disappointed with this app. I cant even log in.

Total crap

I cant log into my account. My fiancé also has this app and has problems logging in.

Useless

I wouldnt even give it 1 star!! I downloaded it and was able to pull up my information without a problem, then a week later went to pay my bill and said the account couldnt be serviced from this app and still had to go online.

Unable to login

All of the other reviews are right: the app wont allow me to login.

Useless

Called the company and they said they couldnt fix it, log on with a code, they have the wrong number,and they couldnt fix it. Never seen anything so unprofessional. Dont waste your time!!

Must have fixed it

Almost didnt get after reading reviews, but it works perfectly for me. They must have fixed whatever was wrong. Give it another try.

App does not work

Cant pass the stage where you verify phone number on the app because mine is not listed even though my contact info is up to date. Contacted customer care twice regarding the issue, but they cannot resolve the issue either. USELESS APP! Deserves all the bad reviews.

Horrible

The app will not let me sign in says I have multiple accounts contact customer service. Customer service is of no help either they are rude and repeat the same thing over and over. Tell you to create a new account then tell you to remove 1 of the accounts. Synchrony Bank is a nightmare to deal with anything they touch

Trash!!!!

Downloaded the app to my phone. Once I entered all my information. It said this app can not be used with my account. Whats the use of I cant pay my bill. Trash trash trash

One Major Complaint

I recently made a couple of large payments on my CC account because we were running up charges with an emergency vet and I wanted to keep my credit usage ratio under control. Much to my surprise I was declined for a $400 charge at the vet when I had some $5,000 available. Turns out that Synchrony puts a 10 day hold on what they deem to be large or unusual payments. Never mind that these were electronic payments that clear overnight and hit you bank next day, they treat it like a frigging paper check and refuse to recognize the lower balance that you have funded. So I downloaded this app in hopes that it would show available credit and I could use it in the future to avoid another unnecessary embarassment. But your available to spend number is not shown in the app. This blows.

Care Credit issues

I used to use this app to pay my bill. For the last few months, when I logged in, it said I wasnt able to use the app. Its really frustrating because its so easy to use for payments. Please fix!

Shows nothing

What is the point of having an app if I soon as I put in my password it tells me it cant give me any information and I need to go on the website. Seems like a waste. I have erased it and re-downloaded it and get the same result every time.

Cant make a monthly payment

I have tried to make a monthly payment thru the app with no luck. Made a payment on the 26th 2 days before the due date only to get an e-mail saying "payment was returned by your bank due to The bank account number is invalid". on the 31st then make another payment only to get another e-mail in the 6th stating the same thing. Now a 3rd payment on the same statement has been made. Something needs to done to fix this glitch so people can make their payments.

One time verification broken

I installed the app, then signed in. The next step was a one time verification text or voice call. The phone numbers it listed for me to choose were not mine. I could not continue with setup and uninstalled the app. If I could give it zero stars I would, complete fail on the security verification.

App works fine

A lot of the issues people are posting in their reviews are user errors.. Or the issues must have been fixed because I have had no issues with the app or making payments. Try deleting and reinstalling if you are having issues.

Worst Bank App

I cant believe such a huge rich bank like synchrony cant even keep up with a good app for the convenience of their customer, dont even know why I have their credit card in the first place. Just downloaded the app to my phone I cant even log in, o annoying. Dont even waste your time on this crappy app!
